Gavin Stanley

Gavin is one of the most accomplished and respected artistes within the UK's Rock'n'Roll theatre arena. He has played  the roles of some of the most iconic stars in a plethora of both West End and touring shows.

Gavin started singing professionally at the age of 15

performing around Liverpool and the North West in pubs and clubs. Billy Fury's brother, Albert saw Gavin playing in Liverpool and introduced him to his (and Billy's) mum. It was sheer coincidence that she lived 'around the corner' from Gavin and she took delight in showing him all of her pictures of Billy from his heyday.

After leaving school Gavin almost immediately got a full acting role on Channel 4's Brookside followed by a brief stint on Coronation Street.

Following that Gavin actually gained the role of Fury in the West End show 'Good Rockin' Tonite! which told the tale of legendary R'n'R producer Jack Good

Following great success with that show, Gavin landed the role of Gerry Marsden in the Bill Kenwright/Flying Music production of 'Ferry 'Cross the Mersey'

Other hit shows include 'Be Bop a Lula' (Eddie Cochran and Billy Fury) and 'Sun Records the Concert (various)

As an artiste in his own right, Gavin is a signed songwriter/artiste with Deli Music with worldwide radio play including BBC 6.
